Bare Femininity Policies.

Waxing Room Policy & Client Etiquette

In order to best serve your NEEDS, I ask that you please:

arrive at least 5 minutes early to use the restroom before your scheduled service. Please do not wait until the time of your appointment because doing so may take from your requested service(s). If you are 10 minutes late for your reservation then you are subject to a $15 late fee, If you arrive 10 minutes or more late to your reservation I may have to reschedule all or part of your service(s). If you know that you are going to be running late, I ask that you call and let me know so that I can adjust schedules to best accommodate you.  ONLY the person getting serviced is allowed in the wax suite (this includes friends, spouses, and children, etc. and absolutely no pets). All guests are required to complete and sign a client consent/client intake form before their appointment. For all guests under the age of 18 will have to bring their parent to complete and sign a client consent/intake form in person so please arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment time to do so. Minors 13+ are allowed to get serviced and a parent/legal guardian may be present during the service all I ask is that you please do not interfere with the service. I do not perform any bikini services on minors under the age of 16. All First time guests over the age of 18 are required to show proof of ID.

Our first priority is the safety and well being of our clients and staff during this pandemic. Bare Femininity requires ALL guests to wear a mask in the wax suite whether vaccinated or not. If you do not bring your own mask with you, a fresh disposable mask will be provided to you for an additional cost. I am fully vaccinated and will be wearing masks for mutual protection and safety.  My door may remain locked until a few minutes prior to your appointment, so that I have adequate time to disinfect the wax room between clients. ANYONE with coronavirus or flu-like symptoms will be rescheduled.

 Booking Etiquette

A valid credit or debit card is required to book all appointments to secure your appointment slot. Your card will not be charged until the day of your service and when your service has been successfully completed. Once you have booked your appointment you will receive a confirmation via text. You will also receive an appointment reminder via text 1 week before your appointment as well as 12hrs prior to your appointment. If there isn’t a time available for the services you want this means that I am booked and am not able to accommodate extra services since each service is timed and I do not want to risk running into other appointments. Please do not add on services in the notes section when booking. I will not have time for extra services if not booked appropriately.

Cancellation Etiquette

Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, I miss the opportunity to fill that slot, and other clients miss the opportunity to receive services. ALL No-Show No-Call appointments will be permanently banned from booking any future appointments at Bare Femininity. ALL cancelled or rescheduled appointments with less than 12hrs notice will be subject to a 50% service price charge. If something is beyond Bare Femininity’s control (Weather, Emergencies, etc.) that requires me to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I will give as much notice in advance as I can and will try my hardest to accommodate you.

 Contraindications for waxing

NEVER WAX WHEN

• You take Accutane or have quit taking it for under a year.

• You're taking any prescription acne meds. (Retin-A, Differin, Isotretinoin, etc.)

• For topical retinoids you should stop using 1-2 weeks prior to waxing so that the skin is less sensitive.

• You have Lupus or AIDS ( or any other disease that may compromise the skin barrier)

• You're undergoing chemotherapy or radiation.

• You have been in direct daylight for an extensive stretch of time.

• You have utilized a tanning bed within the past 24 hours.

• You have irritated, inflamed, cut, or sunburned skin

WHEN TO BE CAUTIOUS

- If you use powerful exfoliators on your skin such as glycolic or salicylic acids they can strip cells from the skin so with waxing being another form of exfoliation this can potentially cause irritation.

-If you’re a smoker or have rosacea waxing can irritate dilated capillaries (weak or broken blood vessels) which are commonly found in people with rosacea as well as smokers.

-If you’re pregnant, take birth control, hormone replacement or antibiotics your skin may be more sensitive.

-If you’ve recently drank a lot of caffeine or alcohol give yourself a couple hours to drink a lot of water to hydrate your body/skin before waxing. Stimulants in the system can cause skin to be extra sensitive to waxing.

-If you’ve been in direct sunlight for a long period of time wait 24-48 hours or longer before getting waxed until skin is healed to prevent skin lifting during your service.
